About Me

I'm Aunt Pam, "Auntie" as Cohnway called me.  His Daddy, Mike, is my Brother.  We were all blessed to have Cohnway as part of the family for 26 years.  He enriched all our lives and he is missed everyday.  His spirit is strong and with us always.  He lived his dream and will never ever ever be forgotten.  We didn't want him to leave us, but God must have needed him more.  Cohnway, you will remain in my heart, mind, and soul forever.

Love, "Auntie Pam

About Me

I live in Lexington and have worked with Candice for a little over a year.  I did not have the privilege of getting to know Cohnway but I know that if he was anything like the rest of his family he was a great person.

I am an EMT and run with the volunteer ambulance service in my town. We work very closely with our volunteer firefighters and I have such a respect for what they all do.

About Me

Cohnway was my cousin.  I remember him as a little boy and the sparkle in his big brown eyes.  What a joy he was to Mike and Candy... not to mention "Little Michael", as we called him back then.  He was sooooo proud of his little brother!!  Cohnway will always be missed, but never forgotten.  If there is any comfort at all in this tragedy, it is knowing Cohnway was living his dream.  And, Michael, your son Sterling, looks just like Cohnway.  Cohnway's memory will live on forever, especially in the eyes of your little boy!   Love you Mike, Candy and Michael.

About Me

Cohnway worked with my husband Rusty for 2 1/2 years at Oak Hill Fire Department. They became the best of friends and Cohnway lived with us for the past year. Cohnway was truly a blessing in our lives and we are thankful for the wonderful memories we have of him. We miss him so much but know he is still with us in spirit.

About Me

Cohnway is and always will be a true brother of mine. I worked with Cohnway in Oak Hill starting as a fellow fire fighter and ending up as his Captain. I know that we will never be able to replace him and my heart goes out to Candy and Mike. Our loss of Cohnway will be felt for many years to come.

About Me

I remember the first day Cohnway showed up at the fire station in Oak Hill. I remember thinking, "I hope I never make that guy mad!" Over time though I got to know Cohnway and had the privilege and fun of working with him on C-shift. He was never shy to tell you what he thought, and could crack a smile on anyone's face. I think Cohnway passes that ulitmate test that every firefighter hopes they will when the question is asked about them..."Is he a good guy to work with?" You see, Cohnway was a firefighter's firefighter. He was a great guy to work with---I knew he had our backs. We'll miss you buddy....but we'll never forget you.
